2011 Proof Silver Eagles Sold Out, Sales Hit 950,000

The latest United States Mint sales figures revealed that the 2011 Proof Silver Eagles are now sold out. The actual "sold out" tag was added Tuesday, November 22, to the coin’s information page on the Mint’s website The new sales numbers also showed the debut of two new products on the chart, the Garfield Dollars and the Chickasaw Quarters.

The United States Mint's 2011 Proof Silver Eagles sold out Tuesday, November 22

This year’s Proof Silver Eagles made it to the top of the Mint’s best selling list numerous times since its debut on June 30, 2011. At first there was a 100 coin per household ordering limit, but it was removed on July 15. The United States Mint decided to stop the presses without a warning or a waiting list after collectors scooped up 8,391 over this past week.(…)
