Chickasaw National Recreation Area Quarter
Two recent announcements from the United States Mint revealed the details of the upcoming ceremonial launch of the 2011 Chickasaw quarter and the coin exchange that will follow, plus the sale of the quarters in bags and rolls.
As the tenth design in the America the Beautiful Quarters® and being the fifth and last for 2011, the latest quarter honors Chickasaw National Recreation Area in Oklahoma.
Its reverse features the picturesque limestone Lincoln Bridge located along the Travertine Creek in the park. U.S. Mint Master Designer Donna Weaver designed the image, and U.S. Mint Sculptor-Engraver Jim Licaretz engraved it.(…)
