We’re back with another round up of the latest coin collecting news and articles from around the internet! First, the latest numismatic sales report for United States Mint products includes the debut numbers for the 2012 Proof Set. Also, new product releases from the Royal Canadian Mint, the last Canadian cent, 2012 Kennedy Half Dollars, the San Francisco Mint, circulation finds, 1841 quarter eagles, storing your coin collection, 1870-S $3 Gold Piece, 1792 half dime, copper conundrum, and notable auctions. Sales of the 2012 Proof Set debuted at 243,494 units. This slower start continues the downtrend experienced in recent years for the US Mint’s most popular annual set.

The Royal Canadian Mint has started accepting pre-orders from Masters Club members for a number of new products. A few are already indicated as “sold out”.

Information on the last cent struck by the Royal Canadian Mint for circulation. The RCM is working on some collector offerings and the last one million cents struck for circulation will be sold as collector products.

The US Mint has started accepting orders for 2012 Kennedy Half Dollars in bags and rolls. Since 2002, the denomination has not been minted for distribution to circulation.
