New $100 on display in Boston
Collectors will be able to see the new $100 Federal Reserve Note Aug. 10-14 in Boston at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing booth at the American Numismatic Association’s World’s Fair of Money.
The new note will not be introduced to circulation until Feb. 10 of 2011.
In preparation for it, the Federal Reserve and Secret Service will be conducting training sessions for cash handlers. The BEP will have six short videos available on counterfeit detection at its website, www.newmoney.gov, and it also offers a new e-newsletter on the topic that can be received by signing up at the website.
